The Joy of Becoming

Join Rev. Jay Lang & the Napa Valley Center for Spiritual Living community in December as we celebrate the holidays and our ‘Journey of Becoming.’ This Sunday’s topic is “The Joy of Becoming.” We welcome a ‘new-to-us’ musician to the Center, Rebecca Edwards. Imelda Gomez RScP will lead us in prayer and Spiritual Reflection.

Join us at 10:30 am in our beloved community in-person or on Youtube or Facebook.

Topic: The Joy of Becoming -In the biblical account of the 1st Christmas, the shepherds watched over their flocks by night. When a host of angels appeared to them, they were afraid and yet they found joy in hearing of the birth of a baby and an emerging light and consciousness. I believe we can find this joy in the emerging light and love in our own time, which is being birthed in not just one person, but in the hearts and souls of each willing person. If you want to know more about how to discover more joy in your life and to be part of this emerging light, join the Napa Valley Center for Spiritual Living community this Sunday at 10:30 AM.

Rebecca Edwards

Rebecca is a creative force expressing her talent as a singer, songwriter, composer, painter and voice actor. Her path has flowed easily through several genres - classical, musical theater, pop, jazz - while her spiritual journey has led her to share her inspirational songs in many communities. She believes, "When I really surrender to a song while performing or writing, something larger than me takes over and I feel I'm doing my highest work."

Formerly a member of the Agape International Choir, Rebecca has traveled the U.S. sharing her music. Her first choral piece debuted at Santa Rosa's Center for Spiritual Living's popular Christmas Eve concert. Rebecca's composition and arranging skills were met with joy and gratitude by those in attendance. The creation of her inspirational CD, Always, allowed her to share some of her heartfelt originals, and some long time spiritual favorites. Her interpretation is passionate, reflective, uplifting and comforting. You know that all is well in her vocal presence.
