The phrase “daily round” or “daily grind” evokes the rhythms of everyday living—an ongoing procession of tasks and routines that often seem unremarkable when compared to the joys of a vacation or special event. T
he common round may at times feel dull or draining, while the promise of a weekend or ‘off’ time offers a brief escape—a chance to recover a sense of freedom and self amid leisure. Yet, must the ordinary always be grey, and the leisure time alone vibrant? What if the routine was actually the most enlightening path?
What if it is in the ordinary, we find greater meaning and transcendent purpose ?
